Amici School of Dance Exams 2018

Your child has been chosen to enter an exam which will take place at the Scout Hut Sandy Lane Heswall CH60 5sx, on Saturday 14th July. When you are given your exam form please complete it and return it in a sealed envelope with fees either cash or cheque payable to Francesca Marcomini. If you do not wish your child to be entered please inform Miss Francesca as soon as possible.

 

Please make sure that you arrive 30 minutes before the time stated on the timetable which will be up on the notice board. If you are unsure about what your child should wear or how they should have their hair ask Miss Sandra. All hair must be well groomed with no fringes, and no nail varnish or jewelry.

Saturday 21st & 28th July we are holding Musical Theatre days. This will be two Saturdays filled with singing, Dancing acting and games.

Where: The Scout Hut, Sandy lane, Heswall

Time: 11am till 3pm

Price: £12 per child

Bring a packed lunch for a picnic under the blossom tree.

October Dance Competition

In October my Festival students attended the Clywd Festival of Stage Dance, the school attends regular Dance competitions in England and Wales. Each student enters the competition with a number of solo routines and competes in their own age category against other Dance schools. We had some success at the festival With Ellie Hopkinson gaining a 3rd place with her National Dance which was an authentic Chinese ceremonial Dance. Elizabeth Hare attended her very first Dance competition and acheived a 3rd place with her Classical Greek Dance, which was based on a rainbow nymph in the forest. Mary Wakeham achieved two silver medals and a bronze medal! Well done Mary! My other students danced their socks off and although they missed out on medals this time they are currently working harder than ever to perfect their dances ready for the next Festival in January.
